Because PBS is done by seniority, open time should be a free for all. The senior pilots had there opportunity during PBS

I'm not senior (55% in seat in a junior status) and I'm starting to really like TTS. I also support the washing of trips at least once giving everyone a crack at them. People need to be using TTS more, and they need to be using the generic option more and things will really loosen up.

I liked TTOT and used it exclusively but it's gone and never coming back. Cry some and get over it, then move on.

Anyone employed at AA at this time and posting on this sub is going to be senior at some point, and will most likely be senior for a long time. You're at a 121 airline, seniority rules almost everything. Get over it or go to a 91 corp department. The newhires today will be wb CAs for like two decades, yes I realize it sucks to be junior now but ffs some of us waited years just to get based in our preferred base to sit reserve. Have some patience for pete's sake.

2 decades? Maybe if they were hired in 2014 as a 27 year old

Seniority is the perfect system in a perfect world. A healty balance is required to offset the imperfections if you want to be FAIR.

Theres gonna be another major wave in 2040-2050.

A new hire showed me their progression, they'll be under 5000 before 40. Nuts.

Maybe the two year CAs can explain how unfair it is to the 20 year upgrades post 9/11.

Yes, their life is so unfair. Unprecedented movement, hiring, pay raises yes their lives have been so unfair.

Exacly my point, seniority is not a perfect fair system.

Look at it this way - if the seniors start using TTS their seniority awarded PBS trips wll drop and give junior pilots opportunity to swap into them as well.

What we don't want is for TTS to just be a playground for the junior pilots.

It was one single person who negotiated it unilaterally with the company. Another reason why APA needs to go.
