Just worked a 3 day trip, over blocked one leg on day two by 30 min. Over blocked the last leg on day three by 2 hours, getting at the gate at 11pm, getting home at 1am the next day. Still credited min day times 3 for the trip, 15.45 hours. The trip contruction and the rigs are absolutely abysmal at AA and APA did absolutely squat to improve it the last contract .

When can I vote for ALPA?

I’m about to finish a 3 day that started just under 18 hours, but will end up paying just over 23.

18 hour three day. Care to post the HI3? Also can you state what percentage of three days in your bid packet are "just under" 18 hours or more? Thanks in advance.

I got a 3 day off of SC that paid 17-something. It was a 3-2-1 trip with decently long overnights. Day 1 was brutal, ended up 30 mins from timing out due to 9 hrs flight time thanks to ORD ground. Day 2 was evening departure back to ORD then onward to TX. Storms in ORD caused inbound plane late and when we showed up a 1.5 hr ground stop was put in place at ORD. Before we finished boarding I was pulled from the remainder of the trip. Now the trip only paid 11.48, but because I commute to SC I am trying to race to 85 hrs to try and get a day off at the end of the month. Probably can't do that now.

Anyways, only silver lining was that no RAP was put on my schedule and I got back to ORD at 10 pm so I was unusable the next day for my last day of reserve so I got 3 hrs sleep at the Crashpad and hopped on the 5 am flight home.

I'm on reserve and wrapped up a 1722 3 day. 3 2 3.

Preferenced it on long call. There 18+ out there too. Not many though.

Try to get 23+ 4 days. That's the key.

That's my point, they do exist but they are rare. The trips and rigs at AA are absolutely horrid. On a standard line you will work more days a month here then almost any other airline. This needs to be addressed next contract but I have zero faith in APA.

If the super senior guys don't want it we will definitely never get it.

Sounds like a 1 leg day with under 2 hrs of block somewhere in there. You’re not making time to get over the RIG unless you have a big mx delay or IROPSish stuff happens.

Should the scheduling committee push for better? Yes.

Learn to bid better? Also yes.
