A319 Retrofits

I know it’s probably not high on any of our priority lists (I’m just curious and chronically nosy), but does anyone have any updates on how the retrofit program is coming along for our 319S fleet? Was deadheading on one the other day and several seatbacks were removed, the carpet was shot, and my tray table was falling off. Just made me curious about when they’ll be fixed up!

How many first class seats? The current 8 is ridiculous when the competition has 12 in RJ’s and 12 to 16 in mainline aircraft.

An extra row of first class seats will be added to 319s and 320s. Bring total seats to 12 and 16 respectively. Also the overhead bins will be upgraded to the large capacity ones

As a frequent AA flyer that will be a nice change. I try and avoid booking the A319 as upgrades are rare. Sadly when the 757’s were parked it became the only aircraft AA uses into STT.

Fix all the light switches to face the correct direction

Replace all CRTs with flat screens

Retrofit the XLR foot heaters onto every tail

Order a billion A319 neos

Retire every A319 and A320 one for one with said A319 neos

If we’re going to take out the CRT screens can we at least limit the max brightness of the new ones so I can still get a headache squinting at them while flying between 0700 and 1900?
