The scheduling committee has enormous power at APA.
And yet ACD created other issues people complain about such as more legs per trip and additional turns on the last day.

Just like anything there are unintended consequences, do you know what they would be if we implemented this provision?

No one is against it, they are against implementing it without knowing what will happen to schedules, and making a pro/con list.

Simple question: will pay for >10hr duty day lead to more 4day trips?

If so, why?

No; as long as we keep or make better our trip construction rules.

As it sits now, I'd say we see more 2 and 3 day sequences instead of more 4 days.

They've had close to 3 years. How long is the list?

No, it's a false narrative spread by APA. Why would the company want to pay for extra hotels, pre-arranged limos and per diem?

On the other hand - plenty of commuters here prefer to fly 3, 4 and even 5 day trips.

Isn't that why the company asked for Delta trip construction rules? More 5-day trips were the issue.

No real limits on how many 3-days the company can make mainly.

I think it'd be easier to take sequences and break them out to make more productive 2-day trips, more 3-3 types, to stay under 10 hrs then stretch out to 4-days and incur all the additional RIG, Hotel, Per Diem costs, and low operational probability of completing the whole 4 or 5 day sequence.
