OK I don't know enough about this to get in the middle of it.

Expect Capt. rates to be dropped $40 an hour to come in line with LCC rates. No more lump sum/look back pension cashout option.

LCC/AA merger next year.

Didn't AA already announce the "BRACC" of SFO back in mid-October of this year?

Interesting......

Good Luck guys and gals at AMR! Tough day for a proud carrier
I saw that as well!!! I thought I needed to have my eyes checked again. Either that was a huge press mistake or CNBC is ready for the next big announcement.

No need to apologize, I actually enjoy my new line of work. My clients are happy to see me (unlike seeing pilots after a landing) and have no problem paying $300-$600 on average to have their carpet or tile cleaned (unlike having to pay $250 for airfare). So it really is a welcome change to see happy people when I go to work. True, it is nowhere near the joy I had flying a 767 on a NAT but for now it'll do.

They negotiated Supplement CC and neither party could get out of that in any new contract without expensive compensation to the former TWA pilots.

Now in Chapter 11, CC will almost certainly disappear and I doubt any compensation will come of it. AMR will simply tell a judge it doesn't work, he'll easily see why and grant that in an 1113 motion.
STL may go away, but APA not only wrote, crafted and instituted Supp CC, they crammed it down the TWA pilots' throats! APA created this sh*t sandwich, not the ex-TWA pilots.

As far as what happens to Supp CC in bankruptcy...we'll see what happens. I believe compensation will occur. We'll see who's right in a few months (or years).

I grew up with AA, my mom was a stewardess (yes they did have them at one time) for 41 years (retired in 03). I used to fly all over the world on passes in my coat and tie. I have sat next to Pavoratti and Vanna White (right after she did her playboy spread) in first class. I always hoped one day to fly there. I has been a long slow fall that I have hated to watch happen. I wish all the employees past and future the best and hope AA reaches new heights in the future. It has been sad to watch the company $(rew the employees for the last 12 years as well as the poor treatment of the TWA guys.

Good luck going forward!!!

I disagree, but this is not the place for it.
