AA pilots, all the best, this filing is not your fault!!!
Dude, you almost made me spit out my coffee laughing! I agree, the AA pilots I've known have always been a great group of guys.

The amusing thing about Gordo on CNBC blaming pilots' greed for bringing down the house: CNBC, just weeks ago, including the job of "pilot" in the "12 most overrated jobs" story:

I was just watching CNBC. They had Hunter Keay a Senior Airline Analysist on the phone. He blasted AMR leadership for not acknowledging a poor network and under performing hubs as the real reason for bankruptcy and wasn't too happy with them blaming labor.

He also mentioned that liquidation or hostile takeover/merger as very real possibilities. He mentioned US Air's name.

And as another posted already suggested, CNBC listed US Air's hubs as those of AMR's. Hmmm...

Which is just what you are doing right now.

Yeah, I think that list also had doctors and surgeons on the list too.. Being a surgeon would really suck.

SCOPE will be gutted. Example: US Airways shrunk from 6000 to 3000 pilots. Roughly 50% of flying was outsourced to multiple regionals. 80+ seaters now commonly operate at Airways. Any future growth form the Delta slot swap will most likely go to the feeders.

My personal opinion is that Eagle will now grow. With no SCOPE to keep it in check, all short to medium haul markets at AA will most likely be transferred. Not good at all.....

Interesting take. Most of the talking heads I have heard think exactly the opposite.

It sounds better when you say "who pi$$ed in your Wheaties".

The AA pilot group "pi$$ed in my Wheaties" back in 2001! Wow, how quick people forget history.
