I haven't seen any APA/ALPA #'s. I was 1,100 out of 2,100 pilots; when the buyout was announced (or "merger"). Not sure how many TWAers were hired after that; but, I "know" the only the integrated pilots, were top 800! To this day, the integrated 800 were the only ones not to get furloughed (there may have been a few; I never looked a the actual numbers). The integration #'s were based on career "expectations"; with those hired after 1989, not having one and being stapled (about 300 above me). I can give you my personal information and TWA seniority lists, on a PM; if you don't believe my numbers above.

I've changed my mind, I think the very best thing that can happen is a merger with US. Every pilot will be jumping for joy. We'll all be at DAL plus rates and I can't imagine a better leadership team to guide us into the future than Doug and Scott! Lookout UAL, DAL and the rest of the world, make room for USAmerican Airline! This is gonna be fun moving forward!

I definitely understand why labor wants to get someone new at the helm, and Parker could be just that person, but how about the rest of the creditor committee? US doesnt bring much to the table besides a few more bases and some east coast domestic second tier routes.
Allied Pilots Association, the union for American Airlines about 9,000 pilots.
Association of Professional Flight Attendants, the union for American’s about 16,000 flight attendants.
Transport Workers Union of America - AFL-CIO, the union for about 23,000 employees, including mechanics, fleet service workers and others.
Manufacturers and Traders Trust Co., based in Baltimore, Md.
Wilmington Trust Co., based in Wilmington, Del.
The Bank of New York Mellon, based in New York.
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., based in Washington, D.C.
Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services LLC, based in Plano.
Boeing Capital Corp., based in Renton, Wash.
Does each member get an equal weight 'vote' in the outcome of the BK proceedings?

I'd be interested to hear your argument of what Horton will do that's better. Aside from ripping out some seats in the 737's and shrinking AA and expanding Eagle and code-shares, Horton's plan doesn't offer much. In fact, the majority of the future is described in 6,500 pages of how the employees effectively need to be brought to their knees as the primary obstacle to the future shrunken AA's success.
Please explain in detail why you think the same group of people who got AA into this mess are the saviors to lead it out.

Latest giggly rumor already has a deal between APA and Kirby. Delta plus 3%, 7-year fence, E-190 as new-hire airplane and a few other tidbits. I'm skeptical, but since it's been so quiet, I thought I'd add some mirth.
On a more serious note, something like this definately could become reality in the near future. Popcorn mandatory going forward now..........

I'm assuming that the proposed 7 year fence means that Airways pilots cannot bid for AA domiciles and equipment for that period, correct? That does not prevent the Airways side from opening a DFW base for their equipment, does it? After the merger is complete (but prior to the fence expiring) where would a new hire be able to bid?

Well, it's rumor status right now, so don't get TOO worked up over it. But I heard it was across the board. A bunch of other details too, but I decided not to get too into it, as it's just in rumor status. I simply threw it out there for future discussion if things go in that direction.
