Gettingbumped,
Your union has done nothing for me my friend. Nothing. I am not pro or against union but alpa only cares about the most senior 76/74/77 ca's and that's it..
As longs as we get what we want from mgmt this relationship works. I only compare myself to other 'regionals' so please tell me what have unions done for republic comair pinnacle aca (insert your favorite regional) and mesaba pilots? I am not saying what whe have is great. But it works.
Back to you my hateful friend

Yes REALLY.
And while you are at it, you can thank ALPA for helping get much of the safety equipment you have on your airplane. Do you value your TCAS? Have you read Flying the Line Vol 1 and 2? Spend some time studying the history of the industry and pilot unionism.

Over the past 15+ years at Eagle all I have been hearing is SCOPE towards Eagle and it was a strike issue and so on and so on....Agreed I want to move up but you dropped the ball on letting JetBlue take most of the NE from us and now your SCOPE just got shuved up your APA ars....instead of keeping it in house...now an outside company ie..SkyWest is feeding you with 90 seat aircraft not in a codeshare like JB and you can't do anything about it.
At Eagle we train in the same place as AA and get paid by the same company in the long run.......we are not the enemy but then you have had it that way for so long....by the way we fly airplane just like you. And your pilots have flown them....good luck with your new contract....
And no its not EAGLE's fault.....
LUV YOU

I have read this 3 times and I don't see the point you are trying to make.

We are grabbed by the balls, and we still might vote the term sheet down. We are being told play nice or watch this, ie keep bidding out feed. Over half of Eagle was hired 2000 or later, and I know the majority of those people want to try and salvage the industry, even on short term expenses. So don't always think we are just yes yes yes, jets jet jets. However, we have NO PROTECTION AT ALL, right now for our jobs, planes, name, company etc. They can just go to town over the next 5 years, and make us a Comair. Industry history shows that not playing along, will make that happen.
This bankruptcy has not discriminated and we all are getting the shaft, except one part of the company.
We need to start standing together, not apart, we have nothing to lose standing strong, we have everything to lose standing divided. Just remember the Eagle pilots do not have ANY !!SAY!! on AA scope.

There's an assumption, unwarranted, that if it were not for the scope changes, you would automatically be a wide body mainline pilot. Not counting yesterday, how long have you been in aviation? Were it not for scope "sales" you might not be in any jet today.
GF
Thanks to you and your precious alpa mainline brothers no wide body flying for me the next 10 years.. Blame the regional guys. Hahahaha

I don't. Eagle's costs are going to be much higher than other carriers. If they were a financially competitive option, AMR would have just given Eagle more flying. AMR bringing SKW in is a big red flag, but I suppose some are blissfully unaware as to what's happening right in front of them since they haven't been asked to take a paycut....yet. This is a really smooth transition.
