Around 240 have numbers on the AA list and they are scattered throughout the recall list with 154 on the very bottom. The 824 number is from a grievance award and they go over when AA starts hiring but are not on the list.

Wow so USAirways pilots who successfully gained employment with mainline could end up junior to people flying RJs today? Hopefully that is addressed by the unions.

Negative, those guys have #s but they don't start coming until they start hiring of the street. And when they come they only thing they bring is vacation and fly benefits (I think). I know a couple of guys waiting they're hoping for the summer.

I think your wrong.

The 240 guys that have numbers come over when their number comes up on the recall and should be flowing over by march.

The 824 come over when AA begins hiring they don't have numbers and are not on the list. Also eagle doesn't have to release more than 20/month. The 824 isn't specific to any one pilot. If someone doesn't want to go to AA that passes the chance to another eagle pilot. The 240 is specific to a pilot and if they don't want to go to AA that opportunity is gone for good.

I think the ones your talking about came last year when they won an arbitration. The rest have numbers but don't come over until everybody is recalled and hiring of the street starts. That's what my bud told me he's one of them, he's hoping to start by late summer. Any eagle guys want to chime in?

*Remaining 235 with SENIORITY #'s, go in seniority order, 91 of them are mixed in with the recalls and the rest are on the bottom of the list. All of these have the right to go before any new hire.
*824 pilots go 1 for 1 with new hires.
*"protected pilots" (anyone else on the list before OCT 11, 2011) go 1 for 2 with new hires. Unless Eagle is furloughing- then 1 for 1.

That's almost as bad as an active AW pilot being junior to a US east guy out on furlough. I hope the irony isn't lost on you.

No way an abitrator will award a pilot with zero longetivity a higher senority number than one already working.

The 824 has a cap of 20/month unless AE wants to release more (they never did in the past). That means if its true that AA ramps up hiring in the fall to 70-80/month, Eagle pilots could go 1 for 4. All pilots outside the 824 (or who have AA numbers already) have no contractual protection nor certainty of flowing to AA and I wouldn't count on that.

Oh nancy, the 824 has a minimum of 20 like you stated but we don't know how many AMR will release as they've never done the 824 before like you are implying. When AE released you to AA how many were released a month? You geezers were gone quick (but it took 10 years to get there). But seriously, you often bring good information.

So it sounds like ToHO will stay atop the food chain, so we will see the US Air boyzz as well as keep ToHo... I got my popcorn ready, as well as my unemployment paperwork before you say anything!
