this is what Nicolou's award says:
As such, AE management will release no fewer than 20 AE pilots per month in a month in which AA is entering new hire pilots into training, in an effort to meet the 50%. If AE management determines that they can release more than 20 pilots in any given month, they will do so.
Because AA's hiring requirements may exceed 40 per month in any given month then drop below 40 in subsequent months, it is possible and even likely that AE will not achieve 50% of the new hire training slots. Therefore AA will make its best efforts to offer and Eagle will make its best efforts to release additional Captains, up to 100% of each class until the 50% ratio is achieved, in aggregate, based on the total number of new hire positions in aggregate over time.

Exactly what I said. Eagle management only has to make its "best efforts" to offer more than 20 slots/month, which is a contractually worthless statement. When Letter 3 was concocted in 1997 (the "flow thru"), they promised all Eagle pilots would be to AA within 5 years.
A decade later, less than 150 had moved up to AA.

Oh nancy, the 824 has a minimum of 20 like you stated but we don't know how many AMR will release as they've never done the 824 before like you are implying. When AE released you to AA how many were released a month? You geezers were gone quick (but it took 10 years to get there). But seriously, you often bring good information.
So it sounds like ToHO will stay atop the food chain, so we will see the US Air boyzz as well as keep ToHo... I got my popcorn ready, as well as my unemployment paperwork before you say anything!

Interesting you criticize me for coming to a conclusion too early about the size of your emergency exit, yet do the exact same thing with the possibility of ToHo staying based on one news article.

Relax Petunia, no need to get your panties in a wad. My point is if you expect a rose garden at AMR, you may get a dandelion patch. Actually, they HAVE done this before and if you read Letter 3, you'd see some disturbing similarities. I've been saying all along the same thing about systematic replacement of much (but not all) of your flying and many like you clinged vicariously to a fantasy and proclaimed me someone who simply likes to dump on you (a form of denial), when in reality I was simply preparing you for that reality. Well, reality has arrived and RAH is simply the first car in that train. That being said, I doubt you'll need that unemployment paperwork, so try not to panic just yet. Besides, with senior pilots like RJ pilot leading you guys, how can you go wrong ?

Sounds like you need to read it again. AE is to release at least 20/month, but is not contractually required to release more. AA will make its best effort to offer and AE its best effort to release. Aside from the fact AA and AE management are essentially one and the same, the only contractual REQUIREMENT is for 20/month. Anything more is a subjective standard determined at the whim of one party - AA/AE.
