She found your posts humorous, because of the poor quality. She is laughing at you, not with you. A narcissist would see it as you do though.
What's this? You showed her more than one of my posts? Why is that R? Were you unsure of their quality? Not sure if some of them were "actually" amusing or in reasonably good taste? Not able to make that aesthetic judgement yourself? Never been accused of having an excessively broad sense of humor, have you?
If your posts are for your own amusement and for praise from your dim witted, WD fan club-mission accomplished. IF your goal was to actually communicate your thoughts-fail.
Oh jeez, R, pardon me for having a little fun...And until you admit that trading artful insults is fun, then we'll have to continue on this line, R.
One thing would help immensely, drop the .........
Ah, the real source of your angst, the ellipsis...come on R, that's my thing, man, -my "bag"...my shtick...ask your daughter, it gives certain writers a sense of style, a flow...a rhythm...a nuanced continuity to their prose. But if, for an opponent, it results in a grinding irritation, an aggravating, vexatious, subliminal distress...the maddening...drip...drip...drip...of Chinese water torture, then so much the better, I say.
Now, back to the topic. Want to answer my question?

Premise:
Self-evident rule #1: Only those pilots with flying jobs at their airlines are actual employees of their airlines.
Self-evident rule #2: In the event of a merger, the actual employees of one company are merged with the actual employees of their merger partner.
Condition 1: America West and USAir airlines were to be merged.
Condition 2: America West had only pilots with flying jobs who were actual employees.
Condition 3: USAir had pilots with flying jobs who were actual employees and- USAir had pilots without flying jobs who were not actual employees.
Apply self-evident rule #2
Inevitable, necessary, geometrically logical, self-consistent, compelling, legitimate and legal result:
"The Nicolau Award"

Who was working when?....-Not wanting to go to the actual trouble of finding a copy of the Nic, let me run that through the old permutation/iteration/speculation computer:
All AWA pilots were working at the time of the merger. Ding)))
Not all USAir pilots were working at the time of the merger. Ding)))
The term "time of the merger" seems vague. Ding)))
Some portion of furloughed USAir pilots were expected to be recalled between the time of merger announcement and the announcement of the Nic, creating a certain demographic instability in status and expectations for any contemplated seniority lists during arbitration. Ding)))
In an uncertain, changing demographic environment, an arbitrary point in time must be chosen so as to eliminate the aforementioned instabilities and uncertainties, -a logical point in time chosen so as to fix the status and expectations of those involved. Such logical point in time is traditionally "date of announcement of the merger". Ding))) Ding)))
The status and expectations of all pilots involved were frozen as of the aforementioned "date of announcement of the merger" Ding))))
The seniority list was constructed based on the status and expectations of those involved frozen at the aforementioned date. Ding)))
The USAir pilots were not happy with their status and expectations being frozen on said date. Ding)))
The arbitrators could hardly be expected to change such status and expectations on a day-to-day basis as the arbitration proceeded. ding)))
The arbitrator, not being expected to change such status and category for said USAir pilots in such ongoing process...didn't make such changes. ding)))
Result: The Nicolau Award. Logically based on actual number of pilots working at date of merger announcement.
End of program....

Jeez...you must think I'm Sherlock Holmes with that clue. This is such a fun game, rather than just tell me why I'm in "error", let's drag this out by making me dig for it. That way when I discover it on my own, I'll receive some kind of error-correcting epiphany.
