It seems the APA proposed today that USAPA can indeed stick around after the NMB makes a single carrier determination. I started a new thread on this topic...

As written, the proposed agreement provides that USAPA effectively gives up its D.C. court case and grants the APA what they are seeking.

The agreement abandons a court order that found in favor of USAPA (denying the West Class from authority to participate in MB arbitration) and would compel USAPA to allow that win to be "re-litigated" before an arbitrator.

I agree, it wouldn't be wise to give that up. But it is encouraging to see such a proposal from the APA. They obviously haven't been ignoring the issue as some would suggest...

Yeah, some suggested nothing was being negotiated, and maybe even some lawyers wrote some of the union updates saying nothing was going on. Only lawyers could bill you to write an update saying nothing was going on, while at the same time bill you for negotiating the same thing that they are presenting to the courts.

Triple Play!

Interesting, isn't that the Leonidas proposal? "Let an arbitrator decide." Looks like this "negotiation" is a one way street. Gee, I wonder how USAPA will respond?

Leonidas - the Arizona for profit corporation ?

What is their status under the NMB?

Leonidas' has no status My mistake and an important point FGN, thank you. Leonidas provides funding for the west class legal team. Funding is provided on a voluntary basis unlike USAPA dues. Per the MOU's MB like process there will be APA the certified representative for ALL American pilots with the duty of fair representation. To protect themselves from future DFR claims APA has made clear they intend to invite the interested parties to participate.

After desertification USAPA will not have status and it's officers will be personally liable for their actions . This can have financial and criminal ramifications.

Did you read today's merger committee update? Surprised?

?
Your Leonidas leaders disagree:

Leonidas Update June 18, 2014

The APA has tepidly committed to nothing more than a few vague references found in the DC litigation documents such as, “[After APA is certified as the single bargaining representative]...'it would assume responsibility for the structure of the pre-merger groups' merger committees consistent with its legal obligations, including the discretion to provide for the separate participation of the West Pilots in the seniority integration process if APA so chooses.'”
