And what you don't understand, is we got paid more the past 6 years, then if the kirby was in effect with the NIC award.

Now with this new deal, we will make MORE in the next 3-4 yrs then we would have under the kirby over a period of 8 yrs.

Not to mention the QOL issues that were contained in the Kirby.

Not to mention the loss of Min hulls and Min hours (you know that little section we got for you guys that have you flying 25% or more of the flying the East brought with this merger?)

So let's see here, making more money before the merger is worse than making less money before the merger. Having 10 days less vacation between 2007-13 is better than having 10 days more vacation between 2007-13. Easthole logic at its best.

Not saying it's better, but saying we haven't LOST anything.

As by 2016, I will have made 60k more than I would with the Kirby. And it's just money.

You can't put a price tag on the intrinsic value of having protection on number of Hulls, and block hours.

You know those two items that the east brought to the merger that has saved the West from having to furlough much much much more?


And of course. the number 1 answer to all of it.

I showed up when the pot got stirred, not stirring it. I just moved responses and such to this thread instead of junking up the others...


Either way with the merger, both sides will win.

Maybe not the win they were hoping for the past 7 years. but will be a win for both sides in the coming years.

Westicle blinders. The Kirby had NO RAISE for the 190 for the life of the contract. It gutted scope. PHX probably would have been gutted in the great recession. It was crap. Your reps acknowledged it was crap when it came out. Besides that, the point that you miss is that AOL was lying about how bad it was in court!

WD and cacti-you guys need help. I'm not messing with you now, I'm serious. If what we have been through is a "terror", or whatever word was used, then you have had an extremely blessed life or you're nuts.

A terror would be to see your child battle a disease and die in your arms. A terror would be to see genocide against your race/religion. A terror would be watching your entire village washed away in a typhoon and being force to drink out of a ditch. A terror would be forced as a child to live off of a trash dump.

This whole SLI fight is a pimple on the butt of the world. If you can't handle having another pilot that works for the same company on your jumpseat simply because he came from the other side of the fence, with no provocation, then you SHOULD NOT be intrusted with an 80 million dollar aircraft and the lives in it.
