This has been floating around Eagle. Anyone else hear about a cancel? Rumor maybe.

Maybe that class date is only for returnees (i.e., no new hires)?

Anyone have any intel on projected hiring this year? Still trying to get a couple buddies in the door.

Apparently there is no US class in Feb but there are AA classes.

Rumor around is no regular street guys for quite a while will all the recalls and flow-thrus. Any truth to that for 2015/2016 hiring numbers?

I would venture to guess a lot of recalls come back if the TA passes, which may be why classes are filling...just an idea

The recalls can come back to either side of the house or only the AA side?

Most likely only AA side as that's the seniority list you are on.

Edit: meant to quote MD80

News from a CKA: There's still a huge logjam in training due to sim, CKA and SimP availability... This affects the 'newest' plan to send all new hires to 737/320. The plan was supposed to be no more new hires to the S80, but nobody apparently ran the numbers in the schoolhouse. There is A LOT of movement going on! They will keep the S80 new hire stream alive (DFW/ORD) for awhile. All but a couple of S80's gone by end of 2017. Last one's scheduled to depart Feb of 2018.

This corroborates what I've been told about hiring- if the company could, they'd hire 100+ a month like in the halcyon days, but there's no where to stuff them. We are short pilots and the retirement wave is looming.

Good luck!
