That's what profit sharing does, it gives the employees at all levels some stake in the operation. Baggage handler, gate agents, mechs, aircrew, etc.

Lastly, why does unionizing have to equate crappy attitude?

If Parker came out tomorrow and said here AA, we'll do Delta contract and profit sharing, don't you think you'd get a little different product out of employees over the next few years. As it is now, he will pay just a little less and have ticked employees across the board.
Being non union changes the entire dynamic of a company. Employees are far more motivated to work in such an environment.

Request for more info about a week later. Month later received email that said thanks for playing, your being considered and due to training back up expect call in Jan or Feb. Face to Face invite a few days after New Years. Interview a week later. Out of ten interviewing, split of military and 121 operators. Range from C-5 (me), C-17, F-16, 2 A-10s, and rest 121 capts and and two 756 guys from North American/Omni.
A couple of us were Delta rejects. Delta is a great company but nothing can top my interview experience at AA. What a great bunch of people and atmosphere. Everyone here is extremely friendly and genuinely excited for you to be there and wants to get to know you. I felt like I was sitting in a room of robots at Delta. Just a waiting game now for a call. Not sure if I will go back and interview at Delta again in the next couple months after such a great interview experience at AA. Just felt too much at home.
Im not 100% sure but think we were the first interview group since they shut it down in Oct.
Just a recap..... Day one is testing.
About 3 to 4 hours of mind numbing pain. Time goes by quickly so not bad. Some of the tests are actually not bad. Just 25 minutes of pushing a button. I zoned out. You will get destroyed on a least two sections. Everyone did. Some where kind of spun up about it. My advice is just take it and put on your best applicant smile and good attitude. They are watching. Not sure how much it really counts. If it all does probably no one would get hired.
Day two interview.
Testing previous day was the hardest part. If you can shake off your interview nerves you will be fine. They want to hire you. It's up to you to screw it up or say something stupid. Of our ten in the interview group , 4 went in at 0830, 4 at 1030, 2 at 1230.
First Is meet and great with a Capt and FO at the museum under the DC-3. Can't say enough about the vibe and environment. They do a great job of just talking to you and making you feel calm and relaxed.
Interviewed with a Capt and FO. Both great guys and want to get to know you. Everything is TMAAT format. Very friendly. No good cop bad cop crap like other interviews Ive had.
Next is HR/Administration interview. Basic application questions and about 3 to 4 TMAAT questions. Some where repeat of what I had before. I thought everything went great but who knows. Now just waiting for a call and not some Dear John letter.
If you go take time to walk through the cafeteria and talk to people. Everyone will engage you and are excited for you. I had a five hour wait for my flight out so I walked around the museum and looked at the AA history. Catch the movie if you can. I went back to grab a late lunch and coffee before I grabbed the bus to the airport. I sat down by myself this time as nobody was really around. Two guys actually got up from another table and came and sat with me. Not something I think you find at too many other places.
It's a long road to get here so be patient.
Lots of varied experience levels but most of us had high quals of some sort. Have a mix myself. 7500+ TT, CFI, ATP, 3500+ Turb PIC, Some part 135, C-5 IP/EP, RC-700/E-11 (BD-700) IP/EP

Good luck!
Care to share some of the specific TMAAT questions they asked you?

From what I can remember is was
Tell us about yourself
Why American?
Is there someone who was influential in your life and respect as a mentor?
TMAAT you had to give tough feedback
TMAAT you had a situation where there was no checklist
Is there anything else you want us to know about yourself
Is there any PIC time on your app that you logged when you didn't sign for the aircraft?
TMMAT you felt pressure to fly an unsafe airplane
DO you have any questions for us?

HR interview
TMMAT you had to counsel someone at work
TMMAT someone at work was really annoying you. How did you handle it?
TMMAT you felt pressured to do something unsafe
TMMAT you had to give tough feedback

That what I can remember. The pilot interview was very conversational. HR was less conversation and more point blank questions
