What those two said. Congrats. Don't let anything dampen your excitement!

Xavier and all new hires - I'll never forget how happy I was when JH called to offer me 'THE JOB.' My family was with me on a work trip to the west coast, and it was about as perfect a day as you could have.

So, just to clarify from previous posts - everything that you see some of us complaining about (me included) really is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I've done the regional gig (for about 15 minutes), contract/big airplane charter, USAF reserve and nothing compares to AA. Most months I have one or two overnights, fly 8-10 days a month and get bored enough to come on APC. My in laws think I'm unemployed, and so do my kids. Please don't let our bickering on the small stuff on other threads steal your joy. Enjoy the excitement. It's okay, we understand! Glad you are here, we need new blood and experience to reshape the AA/APA culture.

Again, congrats, and keep the questions and good news coming!

Well said. When I was doing the compare and research on which one to go to I saw a ton of complaining. I am thrilled to be at AA and looking forward to a long career.

Hey guys...

Got the thanks but no thanks email this morning. What is the re-application process like. The email didn't mention anything about possibly re-applying. I only want to work at AA no other company.

Thx!

Back when I was young in the 1970's I only wanted to fly for Playboy. The DC9 painted black. It was called Bunny 1.

I never got the job, probably cause I was in Jr High School at the time.

Wake up! Apply everywhere.

Are you telling me you wouldn't' love being a senior Delta/United/Alaska Captain someday?

You will look back and say I was really dumb.

Apply everywhere.

Sorry to hear that. I don't really know about the reapplication process but will echo what 7576FO said. Apply everywhere! and at least get a job at another major while you wait for the AA callback. I really wanted to work at UAL, and well, I'm here now...so that's how that worked out. After a year here I had the opportunity to interview at UAL, and chose to stay put for a variety of reasons.

Good luck

Same, except I never renewed my application after a month at AA; also for a variety of reasons. Apply everywhere.
