No. Additional info request starts the background check. It's a HUGE plus but it's not guaranteed.

You're not on the list until day one. Until then it's like being in a bar and a girl telling you she'll see you next weekend.

You're not off probation until you reach the defined limit. Unlike the guy who went nuts on his last trip before the end of probation...

Minor, but hugely important, differences.

What list?

If you get a request for additional info, you've passed the video interview.

If you then pass the background check (which is not the full-up DOT one), you will then be scheduled for the Face to Face.

Agreed. More info means video passed. But it just triggers the background check which is a high probalbity, but not 100%, pass.

List being the seniority list after being hired. Having a number, versus class cancellling the morning you're supposed to report, is worlds apart.

It's really, really, really hard to get fired after probation. Years ago you got a sim check and met with the Chief Pilots before your probation period was over. It typically happened slightly before the actual probation date. So the guy's has the sim check, talked with the CP's, and goes on a trip. Celebrates. Hotel was ok with him getting kicked out of the casino. Hotel was ok with him getting kicked out again after he snuck back in. Hotel was ok with the hooker. That's all fine. But then he decided to trash his room. That's where it started to unravel. The big problem was he'd filled all the squares EXCEPT for reaching the actual date that ended his probationary period. Oops. Oops is code for 'fired.'

Kinda sounds like it was a good night at the same time :)

What starts or is checked on the background once additional information is sent?

Also, does anyone have a class schedule for Jan-March?

Thank you!

Any guesses on how long it will take to get CLT on the Airbus?

I'd guess 6 months or less. It's been pretty junior for the last year and a half. Now that we are combined LGA and MIA are the junior bases on the 737 and 320. PHL 190 is also junior but usually no more than 6 per class get the 190.
