AA regionals coming to AA with at least 12 months of service at said regional get 16% 401K DC immediately. This is a fact.

Indeed, that’s because they do their 12 month period waiting for full contribution eligibility while at the AA regional.

I’ve got a buddy that did the video interview a year ago and received the receipt email after submitting it, but hasn’t heard anything from AA since, good or bad. Great dude, very experienced. Any advice?

Did he ever follow-up!? He, or they, clearly missed something.

Probably too late now but I’d definitely double check my spam folder and try to call or walk-in to HR and ask about it.

Thanks for the reply.

After calling a few months ago, he was told he’s “still in the system.” Nothing in the spam folder, either.

I’ll advise him to call again. May ask a senior FO to talk to a CP.

I have no reason to believe I’m not getting the full story. I’ve known this guy since college and we’ve been in the same community for 15 years, including two squadrons and a couple of deployments.

Thanks again.

There is lots of info out there on the net that can give you a real good idea on how the interview will go. You may have already seen them. I didn't spend money on formal interview prep and after I interviewed, I was glad I didn't. Some would say it is a small price to pay and piece of mind for a multimillion dollar career, but I was comfortable doing it without it. The interview was probably the most laidback interview I have ever had. Be yourself, be personable, answer the questions with the "STAR" method and your golden. If you get the video interview and then subsequently get invited to Dallas, they've already hired you and it is yours to lose. I wouldn't waste your $600-700, but that is just my advice. This is not Delta. These interview consulting outfits are making a killing and for some guys apprehensive about interviewing, it may be worth it, but I'm here to tell you it probably isn't necessary for AA.
