90 hrs isn't the norm, (with the exception of next month) but someone holding either a primary or secondary can very easily turn their block into a max pay block (usually 85) very easily with the bid sheet.

Just a little something to write your NAC about.
This was a glaring problem with the MOU from the beginning. APA and the company agreed to the rates. APA guys assumed they would never have to fly the E190. Not to worry about the ISL either, they know what is best.

If I never see European/Intl destinations for the rest of my career I'll be one happy camper. Long haul flat out SUCKED. Always tired, always in a jet lag fog, always worried about security and foreign governments. Ugh. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm looking forward to flying domestic turns for the rest of my career!

You're not the only one. There are plenty of others I know who prefer domestic turns, one or two day trips, and even a few who- gasp- like shuttle flying. There is something to be said for it: Fly 30-40 minutes, grab a cup of coffee and read the paper, then repeat. You can even go a whole day at work and never use the aircraft lav.

Sure the hourly rate on the 190 sucks, and most of the F/O's on it can't wait to get off, but it opens up some options that wouldn't exist without it: The chance to be a block holder very quickly and have good QOL, and also the opportunity to upgrade quickly. It's kind of like being at a commuter airline 10-15 years ago, only you have a seniority number at the biggest airline in the world with all the opportunity that brings.

"Actually, the old US Airways 767-200s will be the first to go. They actually anticipate keeping them flying through the summer of 2015 for one reason – it allows them to accelerate the work being done upgrading the 767-300s. But after summer 2015, those airplanes will finally become beer cans."

I heard that on the June bid award they didn't fill all of the E190 CA vacancies. People are avoiding it like the plague.

For the US 762s... 3 parked this fall, the other 7 parked next fall.

Default US Airways East June Pilot Bid

So is the plan to replace the 200's with the 300's?

Amen to all! Takeoffs and landings are fun. The rest is pretty damn boring. Layover in Buffalo or Paris, I couldn't care less. When do I get HOME.

Here's some food for thought, it's always better to start out as a captain when they start merging seniority lists. I know this is def not fair, but when was this industry fair?
