Some bid it and were denied it for that exact reason.

Generally though the 190 captain on reserve gets paid about as much or slightly less than an AB320 or 767 FO with a line or the 330 FO on reserve, all of which are available to anyone who can be a 190 captain.

With all the movement there is no reason to jump on a 190 captain bid and be locked out from going to the 330 as an FO. If you bid wrong you could lock yourself into only one movement in 3.5 years, which could be devastating to the pocket book.

2nd year pay:

AB FO $84/hr times 90 hours = $7560
190 CA $113/hr times 76 hours = $8588

Guess I understand. I recall Compass having many issues when they were created and had ALL street CAs and brand new FOs flying together. (Sarcasm) I'll believe that when the company puts that word out..... USAPA put an email out Friday saying otherwise. Did they not speak with the company?

Crashpad -$200
Septa/Taxi -$50
Per Diem Difference -$400+
Days off lost 4-5 depending on block

Many variables to consider as well.....

You'll be stuck on reserve in Philly for ages flying the same city pairs 5 times a day.

Yes. And we didn't even look at Group 3 with a block ($90.29 to $132.75) or Group 4 on Reserve ($106.40 to $156.44).

Default US Airways East June Pilot Bid

If I lived in PHL I'd bid it. I'd rather sit Short call E190 then have to fly 90 hours, but def not worth commuting for.

There's a reason that E190 left seat goes so junior.

US E190 Year 2 Captain = $113
JB E190 Year 2 Captain = $150
DL B717 Year 2 Captain = $175

US E190 Year 12 Captain = $123
JB E190 Year 12 Captain = $170
DL B717 Year 12 Captain = $190

Just a little something to write your NAC about.
