I, too, think the wings on the shirt look classy. I'm just lazy.

My other big question is whether or not $700 flag ties (financing available) adorned with cactus pins giving people the ginger will be allowed

Hopefully those ties will become moot by the time the uniform phase-in occurs...unless people just want to wear a $700 tie.

I stand corrected. So it seems that the LCCs don't wear them but most majors do. you'll never see a delta or Ual pilot without them. I think we should be the same.

And I do agree that the delta plots look the sharpest... I'm all for that look.

The good news is that the embroidered wings are going bye bye. For good reason, they really looked like crap.

And yes I do hope we continue to wear the wings on the shirt. It looks classy. I don't understand why you USAir guys don't wear them? you must be one of the only airlines out there that don't. Heck even at ACA we were issued "mini wings" for the shirts.

Putting them on the shirt is really an issue for some of you? C'mon guys...why even get dressed if we're gonna go there.

aa73,

It seems you and I are polarized. I do not care for Metal wings on shirts.
You do not care for the fluorescent vest.

Where are you on the Mariah Carie Nick Cannon divorce?

I guess, I'm team Nick!

If the jackets become mandatory what is the point of having wings on the shirts?

Heck, a couple capts I've seen lately think wearing the jacket alleviates the need to even iron their shirt....

I don't understand your question.... Wearing the jacket should not have anything to do with the shirt wings. I wear wings on both my shirt and the jacket. Two reasons... one, without the wings on my shirt there are two ugly holes, and two, I don't always wear the jacket 100% of the time so see reason 1 above.

It has been said that there are Delta pilots who have chest piercings so they can wear their wings in the shower.

Two holes? Someone should invent shirts without two holes.
