Listen, I don't want to hijack this thread, but honestly, don't believe everything they told you in indoc. I get that you are excited to be at Delta, I really do. And I really like the unbridled enthusiasim from the new hires. However, I see all these guys wanting their airline to be like Delta. Well, Delta ain't all that. After 20 years in the airline business, and 14 years at Delta, including 5 on furlough, I believe I've earned the right to say that.
But forget all that. I'm just a jaded senior FO who's more than happy to ensure you never buy a drink if and when we ever fly together.
Forgive the thread hijack, but to all the AA guys, don't strive for Delta parity, aim for doing better than us.

Delta's great. Personally, I envy those that work for them.
All airlines have there problems, shortcomings and butt holes.

Real men wear the real metal wings on the shirt... Embroidered wings are for pansies! 
The good news is that the embroidered wings are going bye bye. For good reason, they really looked like crap.
And yes I do hope we continue to wear the wings on the shirt. It looks classy. I don't understand why you USAir guys don't wear them? you must be one of the only airlines out there that don't. Heck even at ACA we were issued "mini wings" for the shirts.
Putting them on the shirt is really an issue for some of you? C'mon guys...why even get dressed if we're gonna go there.

ExpressJet in their infinite cheapness had very sharp pins to secure their wings. Thank you! We also have the threaded studs at US Airways.

So is a leather jacket an option in lieu of the sub-commander double breasted thing? I'd MUCH rather wear a suit jacket over a leather jacket, as I think it looks more professional, but I'll gladly switch to leather if its a double breasted jacket.

The new uniforms sound promising, but compliance may be an increased focus. Supposedly captains will be responsible for enforcing uniform compliance, which would make flight attendants more apt to report crew juice events?

As for how the company will implement the uniform policy, not many know and it'll be 2 years almost before we have to worry about it. Lots of things will change in 2 years.
