And FWIW, the Delta agents still call it the "gate house." Ghilis, you have so much to learn when you hit the line that is completely different from what they teach on Virginia Ave!

You all think I'm trolling, but I'm not. What I posted came from an actual memo to the Delta pilots. There's even a whole section about it in the "Welcome to Delta" letter ghilis should have read. It's in the new hire section of DeltaNet. I'd post it, but then I'd be in violation of Delta's social media policy.

Can always be worse where? I don't think anyone was making a comparison on how good anyone has it. However, Your initial post did seem like you were trolling and/or exhibiting arrogance. Sometimes things get misconstrued online but if you want to maintain a good image for DAL pilots this is probably not the best way. We should be great ambassadors for our airline not only to the pax, but also to our brothers and sisters at AA, United, SWA, JB, etc. One profession. One level of courtesy to all.

But forget all that. I'm just a jaded senior FO who's more than happy to ensure you never buy a drink if and when we ever fly together.
Forgive the thread hijack, but to all the AA guys, don't strive for Delta parity, aim for doing better than us.

Listen, I don't want to hijack this thread, but honestly, don't believe everything they told you in indoc. I get that you are excited to be at Delta, I really do. And I really like the unbridled enthusiasim from the new hires. However, I see all these guys wanting their airline to be like Delta. Well, Delta ain't all that. After 20 years in the airline business, and 14 years at Delta, including 5 on furlough, I believe I've earned the right to say that. But forget all that. I'm just a jaded senior FO who's more than happy to ensure you never buy a drink if and when we ever fly together.
