ATTN: USAir pilots

I was senior enough to get 4 breaks in days off for July.
Many of the reserve lines only have 3 groups of days off.
July off 2-5
off 11-12
off 19-21
off 26-28
Some reserve lines 777 FO MIA show on rese3rve last 6 days of June
and if you get one of several reserve lines for July you might be on the first 12 days of July.
That is 18 days in a row. That is not fixed. They are banking on you getting 30 hrs off in an outstation.
Last Summer I was on 22 days in a row June into July bid.
UNACCEPTABLE!!!
They will then use your moveables to fix a 30 in 168 problem.
SO you just lost a day off later in the month.
For me: UNACCEPTABLE

Here's how I ended June on reserve.
I was originally scheduled for Recurrent ground school June 10-13. On June 7 Training called me and said they were putting a CA in my place and that my Recurrent was canceled. They would reschedule me for July.
I had a fly thru into June 2 days.
I flew 11-13 GRU (Sao paulo Brazil)
I flew 19-22 Sao Paulo Brazil
I flew 24-26 Sao paulo Brazil
and I flew a SDQ turn on the 27th
Yesterday I almost flew a JFK turn the guy below me took it.
One of the GRU's they called me on my day off for premium. Which is good and bad. I got half the trip paid 150%
But as with most of our contract at AA "The computer is not programmed and we cannot implement the changes"
So they coded the whole trip premium so I got no credit for the half of the trip I helped them out with. This resulted in me flying extra.
I know all this sounds somewhat hypocritical, I flew under guarantee then I scored.
But the problem with AA is they never implement things that help pilots in our contract. "We're unable to implement that due to Sabre programming software at this time"
Reserves are supposed to get credit for planned absences. Vacation, sick, training.
Today is my last day avail this month and they left me on Long call. Which is nice.
I actually had a good time this month. Lots of World Cup teams stayed at our hotel in Sao Paulo because it is a safe area.
I got to fly a turn to SDQ Wow! I have not flown 2 legs in one day in over 2.5 years. LOL But TRUE!
Most of the guys at AA think my bid status I only work 1 trip a month.
I wanted to show the USAir guys a sample of our reserve system.

Don't expect Douggie's minions to do any better. From what I've seen on our employee Wings website Flight Ops videos, they are working hard at managing expectations while technical improvements move at a snails pace.
