My assessment is that they have gotten a significant percentage of pilots back with retro. In fact, one of the captains I just flew with had emailed one of our Chiefs and told him they were losing a lot of pilots with the retro shafting and Parker was making a mistake and the chief emailed him back after Kirby's flip-flop and thanked him. Apparently, many others had done the same thing. It seems many of the yes crowd want the $$$ above all else and are rationalizing any negatives as inconsequential. That will be truly sad for the junior in 2020, but AA has a long and stable history of pilots acting for self-interest with the price paid by the group in the future. This will be no different and 2020 will be no different then.

I'd advise everyone to plan accordingly for our unavoidable fire sale to Parker in 2020.

The folks that can stop this fire sale and force Parker to actually provide some descent contract items... The only ones are the Horton haters.

Parker hoodwinked you guys and is worse than Horton... Parker and Kirby have each already skimmed more cream off you guys than Horton ever did.

Parker and Glass are masters at deception.. I don't know if enough of the Horton haters will figure it out until they have been hoodwinked again, and far worse than the last time.

We'll see.

I haven't had one CA to say they would vote no.

Many are rationalizing this as they'll avoid most of the pain and they get quick cash. In 2020, many more of us will do exactly the same. If you're at AA, may your head be above the pond scum level when we "take the deal" yet, again.

Speaking of pants on fire, how's that investigation on losing all rigs going. Satisfied that we won't?

It's been my experience so far too. So far, the only no voters I've run into are one AA jumpseater and one young guy in the crew room. Everybody else I see in real life seems to be clamoring for the cash. Caveat emptor.

I've only flown with one captain who's a no. All the others are yes voters. Overheard one guy in the crew room saying he'll vote no but the other guys he was talking to were yes votes. I know a few younger guys who are no voters. If I had to guess this thing passes 65-35. At worst 60-40 passing.
