APA INFORMATION HOTLINE

This is APA Communications Director Gregg Overman with the APA Information Hotline for Friday, Jan. 9.

APA BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING: The APA board of directors reconvened at APA headquarters at 9 a.m.

The board took the following actions today.

Adopted the following motions:
Withdraw the APA joint collective bargaining agreement proposal presented to the company Jan. 2.
Send AAG's final offer to the APA membership for a ballot vote per the timelines established by the board for such purpose.
Complete the vote on the JCBA process by Jan. 30.
Reschedule the next board meeting to Jan. 30–31.
Voted to approve R2015-02, "Letter G Acceptance Date," which states that "the board directs the APA President to inform the Company that the Association does not recognize January 19, 2015, as the date that a deferred pilot must declare his or her intent to exercise a contractual right." This resolution further states that "the Association recognizes DOS (date of signing) plus 14 days, as the date for a deferred pilot to accept recall and lay claim to any possible LOS improvement that may be awarded in arbitration or granted in largesse by the Company."
The board adjourned its meeting at 6 p.m.

Good. You and I may not necessarily agree on what's the right answer whether we arbitrate or not, but I think APA did the right thing here.

Thanks for costing me several thousand APA!

Theyre dragging their dang feet! There's plenty of time for them to put this out for a vote! 10 days is enough. You only need a week max for voting.

Don't worry Kirby is a good guy and will get permission from his boss to capitulate to APA and give the extension.

APA ?

God are we ****ed, or what ?

Man, with this degree of Stockholm Syndrome, 2020 going to be an absolute massacre. I swear to sunny Jesus, some of these kids are absolutely lost.

Dude, APA couldn't have met the deadline if they wanted to because Management didn't give them ALL the final language until the last minute, FAR later then they promised.

You simply have GOT to be in some type of management position.

One of his first posts on the TA was that management didn't have to give us these raises they are just trying to do the right thing.

It's sad, really. I fear for our future with reasoning like that...

No its all strategy, they are setting management up for contract 2020. Management just thinks they are getting away with concessions from the pilot group during the most profitable time EVER, but we will show them in 2020. Management will never know what hit them
