I really don't have an issue with this as this will only be an issue in the 190 as long as we only have 20 of them.
Remember we are getting rid of qualify in turn. If we didn't a 20+ year guy would be forced into it with a pay cut.
In this scenario it works to the majorities advantage.

Qualify-in-turn is gone, but that doesn't justify this seniority abrogating convenience for the Company.
If they want Group I Capains they need a carrot to attract them. What they want is a baseball bat to beat guys in to the seat.
Abrogating seniority is not to anyone's advantage in any scenario.

[QUOTE=crzipilot;1805660]think in the overall scheme, it's shows 22 vacancies on the 330/76 coupled with reductions of 72 on that equipment. So a net loss of 50 positions. 39 of them being 39 f/o's. Wasn't it announced sometime ago that those positions were going away? Even as such they were extended from when they were supposed to be originally retired.[/QUOTE
How many new group ii CA vacancies? I remember seeing 40 in CLT alone.

It wouldn't be downgraded pilots forced into it. It would most likely be as it is now, 12 month CA upgrade on 190. So for these guys it is better than rsv FO, isn't it?
The pay maxes out at $167 in 3-4 years ,problem is everything else pays a lot more. I just can't see pay for the 190 going a whole lot higher than. Say $175-180/hr. Especially with such a small fleet.
I really think once the pay ticks up in the $150 range guys with less than 5-7 years will start bidding it and won't be an issue.

Just my .02 based on what I have learned in the last 4hrs I would be a firm NO. forced upgrades to a poor QOL and un-augmanted trips will kill you before you spent your money......

You must be joking. Group I is 118 seats, you think with the vastly inferior Group I pay scale that Group I will stop at 20 E190s. Language doesn't make it in to the Contract by accident.
Qualify-in-turn is gone, but that doesn't justify this seniority abrogating convenience for the Company.

What would you propose to avoid this with the elimination of qualify in turn.
Most of these issues are self induced by the oversights of our inept Union.

A 15 hour 4 day is not possible with the 1:3.5 trip rig. Amazing how many people don't get this or choose to ignore it.
Edit:
Forgot to add quote, but would have been a Quote from masterofpuppets about 15 hour 4 days.

45 total grp II capt vacancies. And overall man count is still down by 33, they are once again not replacing all those that are leaving the bid. I would imagine though it might be more of a training pipe line problem then anything else. Though they might be starting to tighten up the rsv's again to approximate what they had in '07/08 guys working almost every day doing 76-90hrs a month

Do the job or they'll get someone else to do it. It's that simple.

I'm big enough to admit when I make a mistake. So, I double checked my numbers. You know, with the full-on assault from Jerry and his APA apologists/agitators it gets difficult pinning down all the specifics when there are so many devilish details.
But here's some specifics/clues for you; 899. And 976.
Looking forward to you getting back to us.

What seniority? The Company doesn't care about "seniority"...whatever that means. Had two Republic jump-seaters the other day. They'll be happy to take the Captain positions if you guys don't want them. The West pilots are stuck in PHX but they don't care about it either.

With not much time in day one and not much time in day 4 that 52.5hrs is a 4 day trip.
Sure, it's a very late start on day 1 and and a very early end on day 4, still a 4 day though.
Calendar Day of 5hrs would make it 20hrs pay.
That was a real softball. I don't think you should send a resume. Yet.
