In a crew news about a month ago they said they didn't know yet but possibly some routes out of DFW. I'm guessing they won't know until they find out if we get the SLI implemented without problems.

Bombardier in talks with North American airlines on CSeries jet orders | Reuters

Better be CS300's if AAG is even "in talks"

That's true, and I agree with you...but there's that one variable that could change that, and that's the economy or some kind of security issue that affects the industry negatively.

Also, don't forget to mention the comment about expanding internationally. LAX and DFW specifically, the real push for growth is more international flying. A new route every 9 months they say.
Right now, so long as the regionals provide their product, this management team is almost entirely focused on international growth.

The guy leading the FOS project is confident about the Sept 2016 single FOS, who clearly knows more than Kirby. In fact, if I recall correctly he said it will be done April 2016 and then five months of testing...so conceivably if all goes well, it could be done earlier but Sept 16' gives them enough slack room.
I've heard the same timeline too...the programming will be done spring of 2016, but they don't want to let it go live and have it crash in the middle of the summer flying season.

I would be surprised if they went down the C-Series route, because last I heard Bombardier still isn't willing to deal on them. Delta seems to have success operating comparatively inefficient airplanes because they can get (or already have) them so cheap. The E-190/195 E2 is going to be available in 2017 and might have comparable performance, a lower price, and best of all the infrastructure is mostly in place because the company already operates the type.

That being said, I don't think the either E190 or the CS100 are beneath being mainline airplanes. For some reason a lot of people have that sentiment. I'm happy if the company gets either airplane instead of trying to put more E175s at various regionals.

Despite the fact they fly 24% of the their block hours on East routes, that they did not bring to the merger, it is an evil East empire keeping them off the widebodies they so richly deserve.

Just ask them.

The DC-9 and F-28 did the flying that the E190 does today. Actually they did even shorter legs (PIT-ERI for example). My beef with the current E190 flying is lack of destinations. You go to the same select few places over and over.

I actually liked the commuter flying, I would bid the Group I A/C if we started taking over the 50-76 seat routes and going to some of the smaller airports and had it hubbed out of CLT. It was fun flying. I'd do that until I could hold a Group IV A/C.
