I don't know him, but I heard the 190 fleet manager was a nice guy. Was he a PHL CP?

Lovely! More money wasted since they are scheduled to paint all the 190's.

What's the thought process here? Regionals are doing better than anticipated? Having trouble getting people to stay on it?

The new paint is the kiss of death. They'll probably be gone before the last Super 80 is retired. 😉

Doug Parker himself said that we either need to have more 190s or no 190s. 20 aircraft just isn't enough to justify all the things that you need for a fleet type. I think the Baby Bus will take its place pretty nicely and do it at Category II pay scales.

The thing about the 190 is the pay.

Pay pretty low on it. In fact, an AB FO makes as much as a 190 capt in like year 4 or so. (Not to mention that the right sight pay is just an outright insult to all that is holy.)

Yes but for how long? Delta has much better 190 rates, so I can see Parker probably not wanting to pay those rates when the next TA come around. Probably will be rid of them or some scope relief to fly them at the WO'ed.

I think it was Kirby who said they preferred the 319 over the 190 anyway. I'd much rather have more 319's.

The choice is not between A319s and E190. If we lose E190s it will be replaced by E175s
