Default FDX - Seoul (ICN)

Got about 42 hours in ICN coming up. I haven't been to Seoul in over 15 years. Itaewan used to be the place for shopping. My wife wants a purse or two. Any recommendations??? Is there a Royal Bag shop there like in Osan? Also....VF Solutions dorked up my pants and I need to have them altered. How about a tailor?

Thx.

Lots of bag shops in Itaewon. All tailoring can be taken care of there. You can go on Yongsan base and catch a bus to Osan and relive the old days if you care to. The buses run at least once an hour.

Not worth shopping there.

Stop by the concierge desk in the hotel and see if they still offer a day trip to Panmunjom (Korean DMZ). An 8 hour day trip which includes the tunnels at the DMZ and other interesting Korean War details. Well worth the effort.

Somebody told me the basement of the Nashville Club was no more. Is this true?

Yeah, but can you buy a cheap, LV knockoff bag there?

Get your purses, wallets, bags, etc in PVG. Better selection, better prices.

Just came off a PVG-ICN-ANC trip. Love the food, people, and shopping there. Stick with the local stuff though and leave the knockoffs a lone.

Pecan,

If you've still got your military ID, you could walk down to the Army base and take the bus out to Osan. They leave every hour or so and it might be fun to revisit your old stomping grounds. I did that on my last trip to ICN and really enjoyed it. I hadn't been there since I was an enlisted swine, loading nukes on F-105's back in the mid-60's. The best part was that I stopped by my old squadron, the 36TFS, which was still there at the time.

Regardless, be safe out there.

Concierge will set up the ride to the DMZ. Just tell them the day prior. Long day.
