True, met one myself (he was previously with Atlas) who was already back on the line a couple of months ago; therefore, he was very proactive. Recent Legacy hire no doubt. Overall yes, there have been a few sightings I guess, but overall as said before the hiring department has a plethora of non-legacy qualified candidates on which they can focus on longevity for the good of the company. OR THIS —> Do you hire those legacy folks who will be on property for 1-2 year pay figuring they will be recalled and just hire after that having the training ticket recouped and starting the hiring cycle again with the initial lower pay criteria? Heck I don’t know, it’s a business after all and not UNICEF.

I totally agree with you, however my point was that being a legacy furlough is not necessarily a NO, NO for Atlas, so anyone interested go ahead and apply, yes they have plenty of candidates, who do they choose and how? I have no clue, all I know is that I know that legacy furloughs are being hired.

Can any of you Atlas pilots verify if you guys are under hotel confinement in Narita on your layovers? Thx

one personally that just got hired.

That’s good news. I would have thought that with what is out there now that they would try to avoid people with recall rights since they now have the luxury of being picky.

It's done. I wish him well in his new position. Grudges don't get us anywhere.

Instead let's focus on making sure this doesn't happen again. Good people make nasty choices. Depending on character alone is insufficient. Perhaps the by-laws process? Maybe something more robust? We need something better as we move forward.

Honest question: wouldn't you prefer a union guy as the next Chief Pilot, all things being equal? If choosing between a random line pilot and a pilot who has been standing up against the company and defending the pilots, wouldn't the second guy be preferred as the new Chief?

I've read that Southern Air is still hiring - https://www.airlinepilotcareers.com/atlas-southern. Does anyone have any information on the requirements and flight experience to obtain an interview right now? I know the market is extremely saturated. I'm just trying to gain some insight on who's actually receiving invites for an interview. Thanks.

I've applied to both Atlas and Southern but my profile says: "You have not submitted your profile to any jobs".

Is that normal?

I don’t think that is normal.

Any idea if a call or email is coming if the App status reads as "under review."?

Last I was there, no hotel confinement. You are on a shore pass though, so no leaving the local area.
