IDK weather something else was communicated to the foreign pilot group when they were hired. Our own foreign pilots here at National have worldwide home-basing with travel paid for by entirely by the company.

I think Atlas has screwed up, by hiring so many foreign pilots, without Worldwide Home Basing, or Worldwide Gateway, to make it easy to get to from intntl homes, like National does.
Hopefully, Apollo will fix that.

International travel is not completely shut down. You just have to be more resourceful.

A couple of questions as I'm new here...

1) Are you a Capt or FO?
2) Is that USD?

cheers

My last ticket from JFK-LHR-ARN was 322$ with AA/BA so the company has no objection to buying it

Is there any likelihood of this ever occurring?

Only the Apollo group knows what the Apollo group will do. Time will tell if/when the dust settles.

While, selfishly, I would love to see international gateway become a thing, I’m not sure how that would be received by the pilot group. We already have people who live in base who complain about domestic gateway travel being an “unfair benefit”.

As others have said, it's hard to read the tea leaves right now. I'd place the odds of this happening as pretty unlikely.
