Default ALPA shutting down the E3 Pilot Program ?

Rumour that Atlas ALPA MEC attempting to shutdown the E3 recruitment program

As the E3 is only valid for 2 - 3 yrs one would be dependent on its continued renewal to ensure employment.

I've been offered a Conditional Offer ... just tying up loose ends..
Is there any truth to this rumour.

Cheers

Atlas is Teamsters so ALPA would not have much to say there, or are you thinking of a different airline than Atlas?
There are a ton of Australians in class right now so i doubt it.

Like all rumors, take it with a grain of salt until something is officially announced. If you have a CJO, congrats and stand by for a class date shortly. Try not to stress about rumors.

E3 has been around for a while and is unlikely to be shut down. We may see reductions in numbers of visas issued in part due to arguments made by trade unions, but that's nothing new. You have a CJO, so it's not a big problem for you.

Once you're an active employee, you have some options. I'd consult with dept of state and your government to get more information on potential scenarios.

Look at Frontier/Spirit. Definitely better companies who take E3 Visa holders.

“Definitively better companies”. Such an arrogant comment.

So true! So many folks believe their life is the premier life choice others should follow or wish to have. Everyone’s lifestyle priorities are different and only you can decide what makes you happy or at least works the best in your situation. Flew with an Aussie a couple of months ago and he mentioned that he has had more quality time at home in Australia with us vs his former Jetstar 787 gig. Hard to understand until he showed me what his schedule was like trying to recover every few days to once again hit the air if you will. He’s making it work incredibly well for himself and so should everyone if given the chance. You do you, forget everyone else it’s your one life.

Why are you guys trying to sell Atlas? I agree with Otterbox. Frontier/Spirit is a better company. Go there.
