I applied about a year ago when my AA regional delayed my class date. The offered me an HR interview for the pilot pathway program. I had about 900 multi and 1500 TT. Told me I was competetive at the time my application was selected, but not now that it had been a momth since (it was the first time slot available). The HR lady was very straight forward and came out and said it right away. Told me I seem like a good character fit for the company so we continued with the interview. Told me to come back after IOE with a regional and I could go straight to the technical interview. She said then I wouldnt have to take two checkrides (one in the seminole for the ATP and the other for the type ride on the 737).
Long story short I got a job with NK like a week later haha. I am pretty happy about it, even when taking into account our engine issues. Now a couple hundred hours of bus time. Atlas did seem pretty cool though. I will say though, there were some former Atlas 767 guys in the new hire class before me if that says anything. Training at NK was TOUGH considering it was my first jet and airline. If Atlas training is anything like it, buckle up.
I think Atlas has a really bright future ahead. Every change they make seems to be for the better, at least from what my friends who work there tell me.

Q1: Can you provide more details about the training process for ATP-CTP and how it aligns with the specific aircraft assigned to a pilot after joining a company?
When you apply and get hired by a company, do you undergo ATP-CTP training after joining? (How does the salary work during this period?) Or is it something provided by the company before you join?
If it's before joining, do you initially train on a generic aircraft like the 737, and after joining, receive training on the specific aircraft assigned to you, such as the 747 or 767? Or is it after joining that you select the aircraft type, undergo ATP-CTP, and receive simulator training to obtain the qualification?
Q2: How does the salary structure typically work during the ATP-CTP training period?

During the ATP training you are provided transportation and housing and the company absorbs all costs associated with the ATP training. If one chooses to fly a simulator (must be current in said type) they will absorb a cost differential. One joins the company, receiving a seniority number and pay and benefits the day you begin Basic Indoctrination. Currently 737 candidates will go to indoc after completing the ATP/CTP, others after attaining their full ATP.
I think I got this right, for now.
