We have had a few over the years that lived in various European countries while being based in the US...we currently have a guy living in Greece, and another one in Dubai.

We have had guys also living in Thailand, Philippines, etc.

Needless to say that this becomes difficult for bidding, families, and even your pocketbook since the company will NOT buy a ticket for you from anywhere but the 48 US states and Alaska...even Hawaii is not included in the Gateway travel plan.

There are plenty of opportunities to JS on our own aircraft from FRA, HHN, RMS, etc from Europe and from HKG, PVG, and ICN in Asia and make your way to the US.

Couple of the guys I have talked to end up giving up significant number of days off just so they can live in Europe and Asia. They even end up working back-to-back schedules from one month to the next.

isnt there a female CKA who lives in Scotland and Spain and commutes to ANC? I seem to remember meeting here during my interview day in early April.

Like I said above, there are ways to connect with our own airplanes coming to/from Europe...I don't know her specific situation.

How senior are Houston or Anchorage? I know that JFK and HSV are the junior bases.

If I recall correctly, IAH went fairly junior for Capt. and senior for F/O. I think there are only 8 Capt. and 16 F/Os based there. Anchorage is senior with a lot of folks living up there.

Actually, IAH is senior for Captains, and junior for FOs.

There have been a few new-hire -400 FOs that were awarded ANC recently. And others got their first choice in JFK, and HSV.

Anyone else notice APC moved Atlas from the cargo section to the charter section?

Nope, it is actually only one aircraft flying the Angola flights. The other is a backup aircraft. It is also used for rotation during maintenance checks.
