No. I haven't received anything yet regarding hotel info. KF told me there would be a class on the 8th. I wonder if it got cancelled or something.

Not yet; I was told by KF to expect the February 747 class, and that calls would be made at least 14 days in advance. Based on a Feb 22 class date, I'm not expecting confirmation until early February (although earlier would be nice).

Default Miami Interview Jan 19!

Hey All:

I'm happy to be going to Miami for an interview on the 19th. Looking for hotel info...due to the way the flights fall and travelling all the way from Anchorage, I have to stay 3 nights. The DoubleTree is where the interviews are and I made a reservation there, but it's really high at $229/night and they don't have any discounted rate for Atlas or even airline employees (unless I'm not asking right. I can't imagine Atlas didn't block half the rooms). Are there other hotels within walking distance? Or I could stay the previous and post nights somewhere cheaper. Anyone know the layout there (my first trip to Miami)

Thanks

PS Anyone else going who wants to get together the 18-20th?

Good luck to all those interviewing next week. I got the online test done and had a good interaction with HR last week. Was really hoping to get the call, but I guess I can keep my hopes up for March!

Atlas uses the Holiday Inn Doral and The Staybridge Doral for training. Usually their rate is like $99/night. I'm sure you could call them and get a cheap rate if they're not full. It's a cheap $6-8 Uber to the DoubleTree. That's what I did last week for the career fair (still waiting on a phone call).

Does anyone know if atlas has loss of medical insurance (I have heard other airlines have short term/long term coverage). Also if you lose your medical for a couple of months do you get taken out of CASS in the meantime?

Long term disability insurance, aka the Atlas early retirement program.

You will be removed from CASS while out on long term medical.
