At this point- I wouldn’t be surprise to see hiring grind to a halt in 23’ with possible furloughs.

Shipping rates are plunging, demand is weaking and all the billionaires are letting us know. It’s been a 7 year bill market for Atlas, and the good
times don’t always roll- be prepared, it’s ACMI after all. Don’t forget that.

For all the years you've been spewing this garbage here, have you ever been right?

Thought so.

Kind of a change of subject, but anybody has any experience with myidtravel or whatever it is called, in terms of travel around the Europe? For example Lufty?

Question

I am not able to enter a country Atlas visits from an incident when I was 18, 15 years ago. Just an ignorance of local laws no drugs violence etc. Would I still be hirable and just be able to bid avoiding that country? Or just never actually enter the country just stay at the airport? Thanks in advance.

The following is directly from the job listing:

https://careers.atlasairworldwide.co...artments=Other
  • Hold a valid passport with no restrictions on international travel
But I would apply and not worry about it until the interview. Some people might disagree, but I would bring it up in the interview. Why? Because if you wait until you're online and then get assigned a trip to that country and you bring it up at that point (esp. while on probation) they could fire you for not disclosing it during your application. At that point you have already quit your other job and will need to find another one, and being let go from Atlas so early won't look great on future job applications.

Better in my opinion to nip this one in the bud if you're offered an interview.
Good luck either way.

Upgrade times

Any idea what the upgrade timeline looks like per fleet?

Hey Folks. I’ve been interested in joining atlas and had a few questions.

1. What are some competitive times to have to join the narrow vs wide body?
2. How long are you locked in an aircraft?
3. What are the chances of getting each type of metal at hire?

Thanks in advance.

LH is the best ID90 travel for Atlas. We also have Etihad, DAL, AA, etc. The only problem with LH is that the travel is ONLY on LH, not any of their other airlines, such as Swiss, Air Dolomiti, etc., etc....has to be LH mainline.
I used ID90 for ORD-FRA-Malaga. The prices on LH ID90 are very nice.
