This is an odd question that probably doesn't matter: Does Atlas care if you bring your bags with you to the interview in the morning? I'll be checking out of my hotel room before the interview, and might need to make a quick exit after the interview.

No, they don't mind. They will store the bags for you when you arrive at the training center. Then you can get them back on your way out when you're finished. No big deal.

Unless its boldface/memory item I've never thought of asking another pilot for help/looking something up as being unethical. As an instructor/evaluator I loved hearing "I need to look that up" vs someone guessing.
My point of view. But then again...I have the job while others may not. |

For all those taking the test. Lets do the math. 100 questions, 60 minutes. 36 seconds per question. There is no time to Google search or look through a book for answers. This thread is the best source for information on the test. My recommendation is to study everything mentioned here for a couple of days then take the test. You will not get them all right. Its only one piece of the puzzle. An average grade will get you to Miami. The important stuff happens there.

Just got this email this morning regarding my upcoming interview next week...looks like they still need to fill some classes...
Dear Candidate, Thank you so much for your interest in joining the Atlas Air team. We would like to update you on some exciting news regarding your interview next week. Atlas has identified several open positions and plan on offering some candidates a short notice First Officer training class during next week’s recruitment session. If you would like to be considered for a short notice class you will need to be able to make a last minute schedule change to stay in Miami on the evening of your interview. Those that are offered a short notice class will need to report back to the Atlas Air Training Center the next morning for a pre-employment drug screen and other required paperwork. During the morning session of each interview day the Atlas team will collect the names of those that are available to accept a short notice class and those that can spend an extra night in Miami to complete the pre-employment test. If you are not available for immediate employment please do not worry, if you are successful you will be placed on our preferential hiring list for a future date. Atlas plans to hire additional classes in 2013. We appreciate your cooperation and wish you the best of luck on your interview. Please do not respond to this email with your availability. If you are available, we will be collecting that information the morning of your interview. |
Got the same. Anyone have a heads up on which short notice class dates they're looking at filling?

Boy, they don't waste time indoctrinating guys in the ways of the Atlas lifestyle...nothing like "schedule changes" before you are hired.:D:eek:

We will know more on the 15th. There is a base bid due out with the new DHL LAX based 767 flying factored in.
