Atlas Air Hiring
#6461
Currently many are seeing their schedules "optomized" right down to the 62hr min. It seems like most of us new hires are being held out for the full 17 days but are not getting any hours over the rig. I've heard more than one person comment that we seem to be running over-staffed. Until things pick up a bit, I'd be surprised to see new hiring. That said, we have the hajj flying coming up with the holiday season right around the corner, so you never know. Study for the online test in the meantime.
I personally don't care about other credits; I'm perfectly happy sitting R2 and banking CRT all month, but I sat a lot of R1 in May and June.
Cool! Hope that materializes.

Then again, if someone drops out at the last minute and you're the fill in guy, they may call anytime to see if you can make it.

Indeed. People hear a company "lost" a contract, but don't consider the fact that those airplanes are often placed elsewhere. It's a net loss that's worrisome, and at least since I've been here (January), Atlas has only grown.
