What did they settle on for ICN? The Grand Ambassador, or somewhere else?

Oakwood Premier. It's very nice. Probably the nicest hotel in our system. I've only been there twice though, and the first time was the first flight from ICN-HKG so we had full blown suites that were bigger than my house, with washers and dryers and all. The second time was just a typical room but still very nice with a full kitchen/washer/dryer.

 

Can't wait. Eagerly consuming the scuttlebutt on the chances of having holidays off (PBS could just maybe make it happen even for noobs, if one isn't too picky about the rest of the month), long call reserve, aggressive open time pick up on reserve, the very concept of open time for that matter, the pros and cons of 80+ hour lines with 17 days off, (That's days OFF, not ON) vs 90+ hour lines with 15 days off, if a 16% raise is enough for a two year contract extension, or if full-on negotiations are in order because such a sum is paltry and insufficient.

What appears to be barely acceptable over there is beyond anyone's wildest fantasies over here.

Its hard to imagine returning to DENTK and this time getting a permanent UAL badge, instead of the tempo visitor one. I keep thinking I'm going to get a call from them saying its all been a big misunderstanding and they can't give me the job after all. I've woken up shaking from that nightmare more than once since I got the offer!

 

...and you haven't even begun to scratch the surface yet. In 6 months, you'll be unrecognizable. But that sheet-eating grin will give you away fairly quickly to the trained eye.

Where do you guys do training on the 777? Asssuming indoc/ground in CVG/Florence + MIA for sims?
