I don't see this ending well for Breeze.
This is exactly how they should be using the A220 and they don’t need to offer daily service. Next should be SWF and ISP to the West Coast. Why use hectic and crowded EWR or JFK when you could use HPN/SWF/ISP to the West Coast? Breeze’s “nicest” seat (basically business class seat) to LAX/SFO and maybe SJC, OAK, SNA, BUR and SAN in the future (even just a few days per week each) would probably be a big money maker. Check out these seats:

No way I am using EWR if HPN is closer and I am flying to the same destination. This is how you can use the range on the A220 effectively. Too bad the A220 deliveries are slow at the moment.

Definitely looks like a smart plan to me. Why would someone in Westchester County want to drive to LGA to connect through Charlotte, Atlanta, or Houston to go to LAX when they can go nonstop from HPN? Or deal with EWR?

HPN is a disaster area and needs a terminal 5x bigger than it currently has. It will never get one. Some of the worst customers too. Rich people who aren’t quite rich enough and are ****ed to be flying out of that joint.

Yep. No way would I use crowded airports if I could avoid them. And there are so many more route combinations where this could work - especially if they started with just a few services per week and increased flights with demand. Pick any non hub city on the East Coast and connect it with Las Vegas or any city on the West Coast (preferably another non-hub airport) and offer a few services per week. Breeze is already offering nonstop flights to Vegas from Syracuse a few times per week. And the A220 with its performance, range and favorable break-even economics enables these types of route combinations. Plus, the 36 business class seats at reasonable prices are a big differentiator.

Obviously the slow A220 delivery schedule doesn’t help.

I actually agree with you on several points. That terminal at HPN is puny and a fair portion of the pax are a-holes. Economically it could still work. Time to add service to SWF, ISP, HVN, ALB, BUF and even FRG if that could happen. So many possibilities when offering a few flights per week using the A220.

yea and also tons of amateur cirrus and citation pilots all clogging the airspace and repeatedly demanding flight following to the airport. Grinds my gears when I can’t get an approach clearance blowing through final because they won’t shut the F up

So I guess you've never flown into Sarasota, Ft. Myers, or Palm Beach.

Would you rather they don’t get flight following and leave ATC to guess what that 1200 blip on the scope is going to do next?

The terminal is a joke. Parking is terrible as well for aircraft. Limited jet bridges and a reliance on hard stand parking
