Default Go Easy on the studying

If you’re really going to join, you’ve been warned, you’ll see, take it easy on getting too far ahead. First, just get through LMS. Then indoc, you’ll get what you need then. You’ll then have to do systems LMS, then SITS. You’ll get the syllabus and will have time to prepare for each lesson. Get with your partner and review.

Know where the switches are. Then, learn you’re limits and learn you’re flows. Don’t be the know it ALL guy and be a show off. It’s training and treat it as such. Listen to your instructor and take it easy but yes, study. It’s not a contest and we really don’t want or need douchenozzles in our cockpit/laid backish culture. Good group of guys and gals here so please don’t be a NERD. Not saying your are or will be just follow what they give you and tell you. No need to start getting so far ahead and SITS is a bit ahead. Maybe someone has a different opinion. Good luck and welcome aboard.

Lightbulb To Bluespoon

I really didn’t want to engage you but I feel I must respond. Firstly, you must be in management and are part of the lies that are told on to us on a weekly basis. You surely have an idea of what I am talking about and surely you must know how many have, and continue to quit. This is not only pilot’s but, F/A’s, recruiters, people in the training department etc…Either you’re in management or you seriously like drinking the cool-aid. Not all of us are buying it. Sorry, but you seem to get offended easily.

Not everyone agrees with you and the direction of the airline. You send texts to everyone that leaves or can you keep up???

Intense, how about a blunt and honest assessment of the state of things. You don’t have to like it or agree with as it’s another view but, give the attacks or condescension a rest already.

The advice was to a newbie and was again an honest assessment. He/She asked and I gave them some intel and you apparently have an issue with that too.

You’ve provided some intel, some of it is not 100% accurate but It’s ok. Let others speak and provide another opinion other than yours if you don’t mind. Thanks.

Default Days off

Hey guys quick question. On the E190/195 schedules how many weekends a month do you usually work? I have heard rumors that you work pretty much every weekend and are only off on weekdays. Just wanted to check and see if those rumors are true. Thanks for any inputs

Seniorty rules. The top pilots get what they want, and PBS selections trickle down from there. If there are high credit days/trips that fall on weekends, that’s what will be popular. No one wants to fly twenty 4 hour days, when they could fly ten 8 hour days

You do work some or all weekends. You might get one weekend off and the rest you’re working Sundays with Saturdays off for example. But you’re still home every night, with lots of days off so there’s that.

.

just plan on working most weekends (aside from what “blueJuice” says) the airline barely flys on tue-wed so that leaves the rest of the flying to be done on the other days of the week. Yea seniority rules and some guys get every weekend off but when you have these tiny bases only the very top 2 guys get what they truly want. There’s just no variety when the bases are this small.

Does anyone have any details on lines being awarded on the 220 out of PVD or BDL, as well as groups of days-off in those bases? Trying to figure out if this is a commutable (driving) option for me. Also, how often are guys getting used on LCR?
