I received the Pilot Questionnaire via email and completed it a few hours ago. I have seen a few other resources with Breeze gouge listing a timline of 3-4 months from initial resume submission to the indoctrination. Here’s to hoping that holds true.
I also checked into previous posts about MSY vs. other domiciles. Turns out, Moxy has a 2 direct flights PNS-MCO several times per week…not too bad of a commute.
Can anyone elaborate on class size and perhaps previous drops? I saw seniority is a lottery…
fly safe,
v1

every 2-3 weeks another request for info/tasker from hiring.
seniority is a random sort 3x
Florida could probably be 4-5 month wait to slide in but could also be available. You never know, all based on plane deliveries and routes.

MCO seems to be where the growth is and they’re looking for as many gates as they can get. Junior bases are CAK, PVD but most bases can be held within a few months. Rumors of a pretty desirable base opening by end of the year or Q1 and that should shake up movement out East

not sure what to think of your replies. One reply is cheerleading for the company, the next is agreeing we are a complete $hit sandwhich.
im not proud that we have lost hundreds of millions of dollars and are over 50 airplanes short of what they told us we would have by now. It’s not a good thing. I’m also not proud of our incompetent management and poorly ran company.

I’m not sure what to think of Breeze from this Thread, I’m currently in the later parts of the application process and just submitted my PRD and Logbooks. I hear great things and then I read this form. How bad can it really be? I’m coming from a Part 135 operator pretending to be an Airline. I’ve had one day off the last two weeks and get min rested every night. We collect MELs like Pokémon and are told to info to mx everything instead of hard write ups. I could go on and on as I’m sure every pilot could anywhere. But truly, the “bad” things I’m reading about breeze are better than the good things where I’m at.
To be fair a lot of the comments are all dependent on previous experiences elsewhere which form your perspective on it all. Bare in mind that a lot of (senior) people left an established operator to gamble on Breeze, whether it was to get in early on seniority for the ‘Next JetBlue’ or simply for bases where they want to live. So they are used to proper 121 operations and other ancillary support, not to mention they have been promised improvements and more deliveries/routes (Read: Movement and progression) for a number of years now.
Add into that the fact that the 2 fleets have wildly different schedules and QOL elements, which doesn’t help either.
Congrats on getting through to the latter stages of the application. As you’ve said already, the bad stuff at Breeze is vastly better than the good stuff at your current place, so it’s going to be a positive move for you. Whether it’s the last move is a question for a different day.
P.S I’d much rather people complain on a forum instead of on the line, it can be a long day out with someone who brings their frustrations to work.

It’s APC brother. Like the 1.5 Yelp rating for your local McDonald’s, It represents about 1% of the actual population of a group. And obviously people come here to vent. Some of the stuff said on here though is straight up complaining. As it’s been said it all depends on your previous experiences or perspective. I’d say like 90% of the people you fly with here love it and are only trying to leave for Delta or United just because they can as well as better retirement. If the legacy wasn’t hiring, there’d be totally good here. We definitely need better retirement though.
