And, if that were my intent, then why would I go to such a length to specifically mention that I'd used two separate companies and yet not actually name either of them?
That's some pretty solid deduction and logic. Well done.
You asked a question about why someone doesn't just make a big post "exposing" the "secrets" about what the details are, and I answered with specifics.
If you want to further discuss that point without making ad hominem "counterpoints", I'm glad to go over the specific merits in more detail.

I used checkedandset and thought it was worth the $$.
I would still use the bro-network reviews (especially if time is in your side) to find/fix all the date/spelling/grammar errors. Then use a paid service to polish.

Pilots think in terms of "righteous stuff". The HR world is so far from that, it's foreign to many who have never dealt with a large corporate HR department.
An application is far more then just filling in the blanks. All that data you input is now available to be sorted and compared to a "template".
How many years did it take you to get a 4yr degree?
What's your average time with an employer?
Etc etc.
I sat in on an HR presentation put on by a company that does HR hiring models for Fortune 500 companies. One thing I remember was a stat that those with 3.5-4.0 GPA's will be your least loyal employees. As soon as they feel something is no longer perfect for them, they will be looking to move on. Good, bad, what ever. These are the types of studies that HR does. It's a science.

I went a little further than that and listed PCAs (transfers between squadrons while still on the same base) individually.

Honestly, the fact that you don't know or understand why someone who flew F-15Es and someone who flew F-15Cs, and were separated in that service by over a decade, wouldn't be "buddies" pretty much negates your rather humorous implication that I'm pro-resume review because I want to feed business to someone who was in the same 350,000-member organization I was in.

With so much money at stake over the course of an airline career, why wouldn't you take advantage of every opportunity to get a call? I've only heard good things about companies such as these... countless examples of seemingly minor discrepancies making the difference between yay or nay.

Best $99 I ever spent. Probably more worthwhile than the 3 job fairs I went to based on how quickly I was called following the review. Unless that was just a coincidence. In which case disregard.
