Default Mins for applying

Good Evening all,

Just had a question in regards to mins for certain airlines. Do recruiters generally not like people applying prior to having the minimums stated on the respective websites? I'm just curious if applying before having mins and updating along the way would show interest in the eyes of recruiters or if it would do more harm than good by annoying them.

Interested in peoples input on the matter.

Thanks

Generally the computer will just filter you out and not even bring you to the attention of the recruiters at the major airlines if you don’t meet their published minimums.

If you happen to be the CEO’s kid, YMMV however.

I spoke to most recruiters at Oshkosh this year as I am getting closer to the magic numbers. They all told me that they don’t consider candidates for interview etc until they are within 6 months of ATP mins. This was consistent for pretty much all of the regionals.
