Not checked but AME can request it if you have high blood pressure or other secondary issues. This is known as an CVE

No they don't check.
But YOU probably need to check box 19 and provide the details.
You might also need to check box 18(g). That might be debatable based on the severity of this issue.

You serious? I don’t think those words can coexist in the same sentence.
And I wouldn’t check any boxes, either.

Box 19? If you don't check that and then have an incident that causes them to look at your medical history, you'll go to prison.

I’ve had “borderline high blood pressure” for 20 years. Guess what? It’s not high blood pressure.
The box simply asks about doctor visits.

Fundamental point being, you're required to disclose your medical situation, if any, without regard for whether they test for it.
Issue here is what constitutes a medical condition? Borderline? I think it's a grey area. You'd probably get away with it if nothing bad happened. If you were incapacitated in flight, they'd probably at least try to throw the book at you.
Not reporting things can land you in prison, although there would have to be an investigation first and to my knowledge those are only triggered by three things...
1) Accident/incident, especially pilot incapacitation.
2) Federal crosscheck of disability benefits with FAA medical apps (yes they do this).
3) Vindictive Ex drops a dime. Don't tell your spouse/girlfriend anything you wouldn't want the FAA to know. Dead serious. Doesn't matter how solid your relationship is, she can send you to prison with one phone call for however long the statute of limitations is, and revoke all of your certs at any time in the future.

If this was mentioned at a routine physical I wouldn't worry about it or even mention it to the flight doc. You don't have the condition and the doctor just wants to reverse a trend they're seeing.
BUT, if you had a visit specifically to evaluate your cholesterol due to some issue, I wouldn't hesitate to put it on your flight physical form.
If you're really worried about it, disclose it and see what the AME says.
