CFI at 1500hr (single engine) 25 multi. Clean record and medical, no failures. Would like to stay NYC based or have a reasonable commute. For financial reasons I can’t wait 6 months for an interview (endeavor has no class dates until 2024).
Seeking advice on where to apply that is currently calling back on FO applications.

Lots of jobs in aviation.

Lots of jobs outside of aviation, too.

With lots of jobs, one doesn't necessarily have a financial crisis. Especially if one works more than one job.

You seem like the perfect candidate for Republic and their new training contract. While many (most) disagree with the language and penalties, it could work for you. Do not view that suggestion as a promotion, as I disagree with it, but everyone has reasons for their decisions. If you are good with being bound to the company for 5 years, it will certainly pay the bills while advancing your resumé.
Fractionals like NetJets and Flexjet are offering interviews to 1500hr CFIs so it would be worth the time to submit an application. They are "home-based" so you would be able to stay where you are. Think outside the 121 box and start searching for part 135 jobs, many out there.

Thanks. I have a cjo from republic. It’s still being considered as a last resort.
I’m not sure if Net and Flex are within my reach as I believe the require 50multi and written atp, neither of which I have.

At the risk of sounding annoyed, you could have mentioned that you already had a CJO in your initial post. Congrats on that, honestly. But some reflection and perspective should be in order here. You are at the bare minimum of qualifications, in a market that has slowed considerably for those in your position, and you seem to be lamenting the prospects of a job offer while simultaneously desperate for such offer. You say easy commute, okay. What about PSA, Piedmont, CommutAir, Air Wisconsin, GoJet? Have you submitted an application to these carriers?

I'm just not sure what you're expecting here; a laundry list of places to apply, handed to you, neatly sorted by minimum qualifications, so you do not need to put in the effort searching for those jobs?

However, you did get me curious, so I went to NetJet's website and yep, they do require 50 multi but the ATP written only needs to be completed by INDOC. So you can very well invest in yourself and complete those goals should you desire to avoid RPA. FlexJet just states ATP written required but doesn't state if you need it just to apply (no specification on multi time). Have you tried applying to either yet, or just automatically assumed it will be a no?

Building a resumé can get expensive, either in time or money. Sometimes both.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Yes, apps are submitted to the carriers you mentioned.
Learning that this is a constant evolving job market. What my peers experienced and advised me on 6 months ago seems to no longer apply.
CJO received from REP last fall, made me complacent. then just as I was meeting my mins they drew up this new contract.
Not looking for a laundry list; more so first hand advice of others who are currently or recently in similar situation to me. Or leads outside the box. After all, the forum is for ‘career questions’. It seemed like a valid place to ask without the risk of annoying anyone.

As you note the market has changed substantially. Nobody has experience with current conditions so we’re all spitballing. That said

1) 1500 and a pulse used to have regionals fighting over you. It doesn’t get you anywhere now, and there’s no workaround. The regionals that are hiring FO’s know their power.

2) look outside 121. Part 91 turbine and 135 are your best options. Maybe cape air.

The majors are hungry enough for pilots that 1-2 years non-121 turbine experience will likely let you bypass the regionals

Okay, now it seems to all be coming together. Yeah, that sucks. But hopefully you learned a good lesson out of it and that is to never stay complacent for too long. Always be trying to improve your own marketability and searching for that next option. It's okay to relax a bit after a certain achievement, but just like after you obtain your PPL, you quickly stop flying for fun and begin concentrating on your IR. I am glad to hear you at least have apps out to those other regionals. If you have not heard a definite "Thanks, but no thanks", all you can do it keep updating your hours and hope you reach whatever threshold they're looking for.

They slipped my mind, worth looking into for sure. PIC's make decent money but you will work for it. I'm not sure if they have a NYC base, and if so it could be senior. You'd likely have to find a place to live in whatever base they send you to. Another option, similar to that, would be Wiggins Air. They are owned by Ameriflight and operate in the North East. But, like Cape, I don't think they have any NYC bases and neither would be "commutable".
