Default Records of failed checkrides

How do I see what my potential employer would see as far as failed checkrides while I was getting my flight training at a flight school?

Technically it depends on the type of training you did. Part 61 has a longer paper trail in the way of pink slips than part 141. But in all honesty: BE TRUTHFULL!!! The worst thing you can do to yourself when you are getting you start is to begin with a lie. Its worse than padding your log book to many of these HR people. You need to be completely clear with your background at all times. This includes any past discrepancies with the law.

Airline recruiters are amazingly resourcefull. You would be surprised what they will find out about. This is a very small world. You never know who may be giving the company information.

Its better to explain what you learned from your failures in the past and how you have moved on, than trying to hide something.

-good luck

Counting: I know I need to be honest; I just was curious what they would see about me. Thanks for replying

You could make a request for your complete airman file from the FAA
Get Copies of Airman Certification Records

What is padding your log book, and how would they find out? Is that lying about your hours or something?

Padding would be adding hours that is a untruthful or adding experience in a aircraft that needs training which you don't have. HR might or might not find it but aviation is a small world and your name will travel to other companies. A person by the name Tim Martins did a little exaggerating on his resume that landed him jobs....don't ask how.

You feel better now? What is your purpose for posting something like that on a public board. Why don't you get out of flying and start torturing your cat again. Get a life!
