He is doomed to fail at anything but flight instructing and his "best case" is little more than a pipedream.

Default 91/ 135

Im trying to become a aviation lawyer and i am a student pilot. that is why most of my questions have to do with background. But ok airlines are stricted with ppl who have felony(ies) or/and misdemeanor(s) on there record. What about 91/135 jobs like xojet, flight option, and nextjet? how are there background check conducted? are they more forgiving then the airlines?

We already answered this question. You are going to have to ask the individual Part 91 and 135 company you want to work for what their individual requirements are, because each one will have its own needs regarding SIDA compliance and any company policies on prior criminal record. It's back a few pages on this same thread. Slow down a little bit and soak in the info we are giving you.

I really hate being the "grammar police" ...but God your grammar is horrible!

Stricted? Do you mean restricted?

If I really wanted to fly and I had a felony theft charge I would plan on 91 corporate / 135 for my entire life. Those jobs, (except big companies, netjets, i.e) are solely based off of personality and looks, yes I said looks.

A buddy of mine got a DUI, a PI and a battery/causing bodily injury in college. All misdemeanors and flies for a rapper and some other big shots, he used to model and has an A+ personality. (Dude pulls more females than anyone I've ever met w/o doing anything) The HR people (if you wanna call it that) wanted him.

If your some fat slob with no personality....good luck in the corporate world.

Actually I was wondering why with my rugged, handsome good looks I didn't get picked up by Travolta's flight department already. Crazy!

Yeah, work on grammar and spelling before you take the MCAT.

Part 135 may have SIDA restrictions depending on where they operate. Part 91 can basically hire whoever they want, like others have said it comes down to who you know, personality, and yes even looks. If you're flying the boss to a resort town or european city with legendary nightlife and staying for a week, you want someone to party with.

Your criminal history doesn't matter unless it offends the boss, insurance has stipulations, or it will create customs problems on international flights. This guy is not going to be flying to canada, that's for sure.

Whew! I'm physically fit, workout and good looking....and I've only got one misdemeanor conviction (walking across a grass median strip) in the last ten years. Thank God I'm still in the hunt!

On the serious tip though.

What about my situation with 3 dropped charges? The disposition of each case reads: NOLLE PROSEQUI. Would that create an issue with insurance? getting a passport? etc. Again, I'm know 121 is out of the question. What about 91/135? The charges were:

resisting w/o violence (2003)
battery (2003)
felony burgulary (2005)

The median strip incident occured in July 2007. No legal entanglements since.
