resume question
#21
Do not tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, like I said this is coming from people directly in charge of hiring. Just recently one of them was trying to hire into a Global and he literally had hundreds of apps sent in from guys with wet commercials to CFI's with little time. This made his job very difficult and more time consuming to get through everything to find the people that were actually qualified. If you are 10-15 hours short that is one thing, but to apply well below mins is just hurting other people.
Next time why don't you try to be somewhat respectful when you start typing away at that keyboard.

BTW I never said your friends were wrong smart guy. I said that you were wrong for telling the OP that he should not apply because he does not meet the minimums.

Here is some more advice, and I do not mean to come across as harsh. Do not apply if you don't meet the posted minimums. I can't tell you how many people I know who are in charge of hiring that hate it when people apply that aren't even remotely close to their posted minimums. If you apply and don't meet the minimums, you will not get hired, but you do make it more difficult for the people that are actually qualified to fill the position. It's hard to sort through a thousand resumes if 850 of them are from people that are under qualified.
Obviously, If one has 350TT don't be applying at FedEx, SWA. But, with that said, by all means, apply at all those regionals with 500, 600 800, etc, mins.

Ok, while everyone else is busy p!$$!ng in each other's Cheerios, here is my advice (for what little it's worth):
You're on the right track. It's your resume, not the company's application form. List those attributes you have which make you a good candidate for the job or differentiate you from other candidates. The resume's job is to get you noticed and get you in the door for the interview or to receive the official application.
Personally, I'd leave the amount of flight time off since it's fairly small and simply list it as "Experience in turbojet flight operations - CE-525" (or whatever the designator is for the CJ2). I don't recall it the CJ is a Part 25 aircraft, if it is I might change turbine to "transport category." You haven't in anyway lied about your experience, but you have pointed out that you have experience in the right seat of a jet. Hopefully you can talk about the specifics thereof in the interview, at which time you can clarify (if necessary) that you haven't logged the time, since it doesn't count for anything, but that you did gain valuable experience from it. Hopefully you'll be able to continue flying in that aircraft, because you are gaining experience (I would keep track of that time so you can reference it, just not in the logbook).

Did you see my post where I said I knew someone that was trying to fill a position in a Global with mins of 3,000TT and he got hundreds of applications from people with a few hundred hours? That's what I'm getting at. It was a waste of his time getting rid of all the crap just to find the people who were actually qualified.
